Evelyn Zale-Brown

After 16 years in New York City’s fashion industry, Evelyn Brown moved to
South Carolina in 1997 and decided to change her career.  She began a teaching
career at a downtown Charleston high school teaching Food and Nutrition.

In 2002, she was offered the opportunity to run the Culinary Arts program at
the school.  She ran the program taking great pride in matching her students
to positions with local restaurants and raising awareness about the program.  
The program also allowed her and her students to cater events at the school
for the faculty, staff and area businesses.  The catering business was well
received and it began to grow to events outside of the school.

In 2005, Evelyn pursued her next goal which was to obtain her
Masters Degree in Education. She reached that goal in December
2006 but still had one more goal…become a certified chef.

She entered the Culinary Institute of Charleston at Trident Technical
College in 2007.  This same year, EZ Catering was officially born. Evelyn
is Serv-Safe certified, a Certified Culinarian member of the American Culinary
Federation and has completed the Culinary & Catering Management
certificate program from the Culinary Institute of Charleston.

E-Z Catering, LLC was created as an extension to Evelyn’s
classroom teachings, to showcase her culinary talents and
offer creative and great tasting food to her clients.
